I would like to start with this: I am a very dry woman (pale skin, very dark and thick hair) with very sensitive skin and sensitivity to smells due to migraines. I put off writing a review of this product as I wanted to give it time to see if it slowed hair regrowth and did some home testing. For the first test, I used this gel while shaving and found that not only does the smell not bother my sensitivity, it's a scent that I really like. It's a very light scent, so don't worry if like me you can't go to Bath and Body Works without getting a migraine. Not only that, my legs looked like they had been shaved cleaner than usual. Hairy ladies, you will know what I mean when I say that often after shaving you can still see dark hair so well that it makes shaving almost useless as it is still clearly visible. By using this gel it was a lot less of an issue after the shave and my legs were silky smooth with no razor cuts even though my razor was far from new. The next day I saw that my typical stubble was much less noticeable and prickly the next day than usual after shaving. I still had ingrown hairs during regrowth, but no more than usual. I can't tell if it really was less than usual, but the ones I didn't have were ingrown as badly as I normally have. Some of the regrown hairs didn't even grow into a full head, they looked like little blackheads and if I squeezed or scratched them a little they would come out without a fuss. Tested to see if exfoliating would remove them and it really did. As a result, my hair growth was sparser than usual. In the second test, I tried using the gel with the epilator. This definitely resulted in a smoother finish, and shorter hairs that wouldn't normally get caught by my cheap epilator were plucked out along with the rest. I usually end up epilating feeling like I still need to shave, but this time I don't. My legs are as hairless as the legs of models who for some reason shave in commercials, even though they're completely hairless anyway. Finally, despite the strong skin sensitivity, I had no problems with this product. I still recommend using a test patch as directed to be sure, but overall I would highly recommend it to friends who, like me, often deal with skin irritation. It also moisturizes. Normally my legs get dry after shaving/epilation and you can tell. This was not a problem when using this special shaving gel. Tl;Dr - just take it, it works.
