Pros: Decent size and weight. Bright color. Soft to the touch (*see softness footnote below). (wash cold, tumble dry) Cons: Edges of all 4 towels frayed on first wash before drying. (see photo) There were spools and a huge amount of lint on the surface of the towels. * Softness: After being washed and dried, the towels were used in the bath and were not very absorbent for 100% cotton. Rather, they simply moved water and didn't dry the skin well. I suspect that the lack of absorbency and softness of the towels is due to the use of a manufacturer's fabric softener or wax. I suppose the towels dry better after a few days. washes without fabric softener. I have a lot of experience with textiles and I know that different dyes/colours can look different on the same fabric. Some dyes can significantly weaken the fabric. This may explain why some people get better results. The color I bought is coral. I have several Fieldcrest Cannon towels purchased circa 1968. They have probably been washed a thousand times or more. Make more towels of this quality unless you can find a super quality towel at a higher price.
