I am 69 years old and like to do sports. I purchased this watch after a year of research and decided that for my use a refurbished watch would suit my needs and budget. Are these watches perfect? No, no, but I love tracking my workouts and checking my results. The watch pushes my already obsessive tendencies. It also very kindly informs me of my fitness age, which is certainly a little off, but I can dream that it sure is. Instead the Gaia app which is great. The watch also adds a good 25 meters to my swim workouts, which I appreciate although I know better. The adjusted steps that the watch sets as a target can be annoying because sometimes you just want to relax. As for the battery, unless you go camping the battery had no problem lasting all day even when recording multiple activities, although usually no more than three. Retirement is not pleasant. For all these important elements, what I have written about them is irrelevant to me. I'm not going to the Olympics, so my training doesn't need to be refined to the split second. Refurbished watches are extremely reasonable for what they do. It's great to record my events and push myself. Also, Garmin's support staff are more than helpful and I felt like they treated me like I bought Garmin's most expensive brand new watch.
