When it comes to night gowns I am very picky. I want a gown that is short(mid thigh), with no sleeves and that has no bra cup sewn into the top. In other words, I want it to flow from the top hem line. This gown is replacing one that is so old and thin that it was time to retire it. The top of the gown is made of one elastic band that makes the neck and shoulder straps. It is super soft and stretchy. In the front of the gown the fabric is gathered with pleats sewn into the front making the gown hang comfortably. The fabric is very soft and stretchy. It is cool and comfortable. The fabric is thin but you can't see through it. The care instructions say hand wash in cool water and drip dry flat. I did not read those instructions and washed it in warm water then dried it on high heat. It took a long time to dry the first time. I'm assuming that had to do with whatever the fabric was treated with and now it is fine after several wash/dry cycles. I am very pleased with this gown and I will buy this again.
