Black mold on the tips of the 18/100 highlighter brushes. Inappropriate and I'm sorry about that.

Hello everyone! I bought 100 double tip brushes (water based ink). The price was around $32.99. I live in the US and received this in a timely manner from Amazon. My biggest concern is that 18 out of 100 markers have black mold that looks like a buildup on the brush tip. I tried coloring with it and the black areas also color the paper black. I've attached photos of what the black spots look like and a comparison of two marks from the same set that look ok. I'm honestly pissed and disappointed because almost 1/4 of the markers are useless as a result. I also don't know if it shows good marks over time if it's an ink issue. I also don't know what is causing these blackheads and I'm not sure if it's a contagious bacterium/fungus or not. That being said, I wouldn't recommend this product to kids or anyone, especially if it has those black fuzzy dots on the tips. I haven't seen any problems with the fineliner ends. I've been leaving markers on my desk the whole time since I got them a few days ago. I have and use other brands of water based ink brushes that don't have this problem. I'm a traditional artist and love to use all kinds of mediums. For the markers in this set that were good/unaffected by black smudges, the colors are actually very vivid, especially the neon colors. They have good pigment and you don't have to press hard to get the colors onto the paper. I do not recommend using mixed paper or regular printing paper for them as it will scratch/cause the paper to peel. I used some to color on a pad of Paul Rubens watercolor paper (hot pressed) and the paper and colors stand out beautifully. There are almost no streaks or flakes on watercolor paper, but on paper that is not compatible with water-based inks. At the same place. There is a wide variety of colors. I'm only giving this product 1 star because of the 18 markers with weird black mold that looks like fuzzy spots. It honestly pisses me off. I'm also sad because everyone else in the other reviews seems to be having a good time with them and they didn't have any flaws with marker nibs like I did.
