I'll clarify the trimming as I wasn't clear on which end the loop is. *** When attempting to loosen the clip buckle, aim the flathead screwdriver toward the skin, not the end of the buckle. *** 1.Pull and twist the buckle to turn it to plus sign or t is not. not necessarily the perfect shape. 2. Hold the buckle so that you can see the full length of the leather strap. There is a thin hinge on the inside of the buckle where the curved head of the buckle meets the metal piece connected to the belt. 3. Carefully insert the flat head into this seam and twist sideways until it opens. I used a utility knife to recreate the same cut shape as the real thing. 4. Cut the cut strap and press down. I had to fasten the section and then twist the buckle until it clicked into place before it properly caught the skin. Easy, 5 minutes once you find the loop yourself. I've been looking at the inside of the piece of metal for a long time π , so I hope it will be useful for someone.
