The screw clasps are designed to avoid losing your earrings. It was a nightmare screwing in these SMALL props, but one day they stay in place! It has been almost 6 months and they have never fallen out compared to another couple who have fallen out weekly. I had to replace my daughter's earrings with a trendy Christmas pair and it was a hassle to put them back on, but I know once they're on I won't have to change them. I don't think the description mentions it but they are baby/toddler sized and I don't think they are intended for people (kids) who change earrings often, they are intended for everyday use. I would buy them again because once you make it they will stay.
