Review on Liquid Plumr 670900 Toilet Snake Silver by Michael Custodio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great. Approved by my plumber neighbor.

When I entered my new home both toilets were overflowing and one of the tubs took about an hour to empty. This thing fixed all three problems, no problem - oh! You have to press softly and firmly so that you are close to the crook in the toilet. It "hung" on both toilet bowls, but "jumped" out of the bend with further pressure. Once there you are free and ready to drill (turn knob). Spin it for a long time. If your bathtub has an overflow with a removable lid, remove the lid, insert the tip of a toilet snake, and work your way down the drain. Hopefully the plug is within reach of the snake (I had one). That's all! Drill for a while, then remove the snake and put the cover back on. My bathtub drains like new again. The reason it works so well and easily is because of the high build quality. I have never felt the snake tighten when I apply pressure. How to Clean a Snake: Fill a tub with antibacterial detergent and soak the snake. Good for the night. Wipe off and let dry. But I regret not opting for a 25ft line. It is much easier to unclog than with Draino. Turns out one of my new neighbors is a retired plumber. He really liked the toilet line. Even more passionately, he approved of my plans for a 25-foot drainage snake. When I worried it might be too much he just chuckled and said 50ft should fix most problems. I see chemicals don't work well. If you have a large cork made of clothing and hair (which is usually the case), the chemicals will dissolve the cork by half and it will disintegrate. on yourself. And the formation of a new, tighter seal thanks to all that semi-dissolved chemical contamination. So you have to repeat the chemical treatment over and over until the end. It will damage your pipes. Now that I think of all the chemicals I've used, buying a 50 foot snake is first on the shopping list. It would be a lot cheaper. I'm afraid the cost of chemicals over the last 40 years is slightly approaching the $500 mark.
