True, these twist locks are not as strong as I thought they would be; However, I got what I paid for. They were inexpensive, served their purpose and were worth every penny. So far every lock has worked well and I haven't seen a dent or dirt/soot anywhere. If you're making something particularly high-end, spend the extra money on heavier twist-lock fasteners. Otherwise they will work quite well. Also, keep in mind that when making bags, wallets, etc., a product that is too heavy may not please customers. Higher quality twistlocks can be very heavy which in turn makes your bag heavier than you can imagine.
