I upgraded the Cougar X-small to 10,000 lumens. I now have this 20,000 lumen Cougar Ultimate. I only used the phone app to read something in lux. The numbers on the app may not be accurate, but I just wanted to see how much brighter it is. The Cougar x-small had a maximum of 2132 lux (my previous lights) and these new ones have a maximum of 2443 lux. This makes them about 13% brighter than the Cougar x-small series. If you switch from halogens you'll never want to go back, probably around 50 times brighter than halogens. previous Cougar x Smalls cost around $45. that's about $80. you decide if it's worth it for you.
