I gave this five stars because I have never found a belt of the same quality at this price. The packaging is high quality which makes it a good gift but I bought this for myself and I will find a good reuse for the box and fanny pack. The look of the belt is elegant and goes well with my office attire. The strap design is great and the ratchet ensures a precise fit. However, there are two characteristics of the belt that I would like to warn you about. First, the surface of the strap scratches easily (I have all black). I got a small scratch on the paint right away and now I'm very careful not to wear anything that rubs against it and lets my pants and belt fall to the floor. The second point is that you absolutely must read and follow the instructions. There are several inches of belts that extend past the rail section on the back of the belt needed to attach it. When calculating the intersection, you must take into account this extra strap, which must always protrude beyond the buckle. I didn't read the instructions and started cutting right away, thinking I could get the end of the strap just behind the buckle. nope Luckily I broke this and it's working great now. If I grow more than an inch at the waist I need a new belt, but that's my fault, not the belt. The instructions were clear once I finally read them. If I can get another one, I'll get another one of these!
