I recently ordered this new premium blade as my original blade has always been very rough on my skin and always marks and bites hard. This blade is smoother on my skin and no longer bites me. Yes I couldn't fit the head to my Mangroom as some have complained so I removed the spring mechanism and the blade came out, transferred it to my original head and no problem. The new head didn't go to the right which almost disappointed me, but having thought about it, just taking the blade out and moving it to the original head works great. I can see how the blade has improved because it's not as prone to pinching skin as it used to be. They improved them by moving the real blades under the top metal teeth so they no longer pinch or bite me. So if you can't adapt this new head to your original mangroomer, don't worry, just remove that spring thing, take the blade out of the new head and move it into the old head and you're locked in and ready to go Cutting your back hair very quickly. . smooth and not a trace. So yes, this new blade system is a major improvement. I still use my original Mangroomer which I have had for over 3 years and I use rechargeable batteries and the batteries last a very long time. IMPORTANT: Buy Shaver Saver from Walmart in the razor department and spray your blades before every shave and also spray your blades again after every shave when the device is on and your blades will last a very long time and you won't have to replace them for one very long time.
