This lock is very strong and beautiful and compact. That being said, it's a bit difficult to decorate because the 'rooms' are so tiny. Therefore, any furniture or people you buy for it should be fairly small. The bed and accompanying thrones are oversized and not to scale, but my girls still enjoy playing with them. The humans and horses aren't that good because they look almost homemade, so I'm always looking for other little characters to go with them. I painted the handle to protect it from dirty hands and also painted almost all of the rooms and stairs to give it character and color. I then bought some paper cut stickers to decorate the walls and some miniature animals. Even small pendants and decorative medallions can be glued to walls as "armor and shields" like a real castle.
