I wanted to buy the official controller but it seems there are not enough orders. I already bought a fake, and drifting on L3 and R3 has become unbearable. With this purchase I figured having two fakes would give at least a chance that one of them would work well. The packaging was cute and the rainbow colored candy handles were a welcome addition, if totally unnecessary. I started using the turquoise controller and it started having problems right away. When plugged in, the DUALSHOCK kept cutting out, and when playing with the mic I found my audio was constantly muted. So something is wrong with the headphone jack. Switched to a gold controller and continued the same shutdown. The headphone jack seems to work fine, but the battery must suck because even without using the controller, it wouldn't turn on. I had to find a smartphone charger to charge it. Switched back to teal now, and yes, it still sucks. I mean I didn't expect them to be good and I was right about that. Aside from the annoyance of constantly having to press the PS center button to keep in touch, they don't suffer from the drift problem, at least for now. I have a little over a week. Catastrophic failure is probably inevitable, but I've always viewed this purchase as a temporary fix until Sony offers me their slightly better product, which I can't believe is still selling at the same retail price as it did in 2013.
