Bought this camera for my wife to use as a passenger on my motorcycle while riding. This is great because the camera turns on and is ready to shoot in just over a second. Many cameras take 10 or 15 seconds to turn on, and by that time you've already completed the picture. It also helps conserve battery power, which is pretty good for this camera too, with a single pair of rechargeable NiMH AA batteries that last a full day. Shoot. The resolution of this camera (7 megapixels) is sufficient, although you probably won't want to print large posters with it. We have higher resolution cameras for use when you are not traveling. Waterproof digital cameras have yet to match the capabilities of cameras like this, and they all come with huge price tags for their waterproofing. We didn't want to spend too much in case the camera is dropped or bumped into the street. Overall very good value for money.
