Review on πŸ”† AIBOO Linkable Under Cabinet LED Lighting: 12V Dimmable Puck Lights with Remote Control - Ideal for Kitchen Mood Lighting (8 Lights, Daylight White, Hardwired) by Mike Rubenstein

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inexpensive, good lighting, too many cords

Our kitchen used to have unreliable fluorescent lights under the cabinet that were hardwired and controlled by a wall switch. When we replaced the cabinets we needed something but didn't want to spend a lot. I give it 4 stars because it was an inexpensive way to install closet lighting. What I like: Bright but not glaring lighting, very low profile and easy to install with optional adhesive pads and screws. What I don't like: 1) The inline switch cannot be removed without splicing the wires. It seems like overkill on a wired system with the option removed. 2) The socket for the cable to the light puck has 6 sockets and is therefore unnecessarily large. No more than 2 sockets are needed (in case the current is in the middle of the illuminated area). Otherwise, since the lamps can be plugged in, this is another thing to hide under the closet. 3) the wires are so long! 19" from power supply to receptacle box and 30" plug to plug for each light disc (plus 4" to disc). We put 8 washers under 5 cabinets so they ended up being 8.5 feet long. This gave us 13 extra feet of wire to hide when we didn't want to cut and splice.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly
