Review on 🧣 Women's Lightweight Bandana Scarves & Wraps for Enhanced Protection – Single Protective Accessory by Tara Cooper

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Breathing is a bit difficult in this simple mask, which is fastened over the ears.

Good first. I love the design of the face mask as it also covers the front and back of the neck for sun protection. And I like the way it hangs on the ears. Solid colors (black, gray, white, and beige) also work great in a 4-pack. The material is smooth. However, I find it difficult to breathe in this mask for a long time. First, it tightens the face too much. Despite having a small face, it's so narrow that I can see the outline of both of my lips (and also my nose, but to a lesser extent) through the fabric, which of course makes it difficult to breathe. not breathing very well. The description of the hard masks states that it is "COOL ICE SILK FABRIC". But according to the label (which I translated from Mandarin with Google Translate) it's 93% polyester and 7% spandex, which is certainly not silk. Nowhere in the description does it say they are made from a polyester/spandex blend. I bought these masks when they were 4 years old for $25.99. I see the price of hard masks is now down to $4 for $20.99. I also see that since purchasing the solid color masks in mid to late March 2020 they have added a number of patterned masks with logos (some saying 'stop coronavirus' etc.) to the same star rating. The new logo masks are a slightly different material with 100% polyester as described and a more traditional gaiter design with no ear holes. But if you're buying this mask to protect against COVID-19, according to this 4/3/20 NPR article (Coronavirus FAQ: Is a Homemade Mask Effective and What's the Best Way to Wear It?), you're buying a mask made from the wrong one Material. The article quotes Dr. Daniel Griffin of Columbia University, an infectious disease expert. Griffin says it's best to use heavyweight cotton. "Don't use plastics or polyesters because they've studied the virus' ability to survive on surfaces, and spandex is the worst," he says. bendable nose piece, it would be more breathable. If it were 2 layers of cotton it would provide extra protection against COVID-19 (although of course it's not as good as a disposable surgical mask and definitely a lot smaller than an N95 mask). I would buy this design. But maybe someone with bigger and better lungs can wear these masks with no problem. Some of the older reviews really liked these masks so it really depends on the person. I find skiers in the cold wear similar polyester/spandex blend masks all the time and they seem to tolerate it. However, if you just want a mask that meets the new pandemic requirements and wear face coverings in public, it can work with all of the limitations above. And I have to say that the new mask designs (which I did not buy) are very individual. I contacted the seller who was very helpful so I increased my star rating to 3 stars.
