I've had such bad experiences with other vacuum bags. Our most recent purchase of a bag set from a major luggage brand was a complete disaster - after 3-4 tries with each bag from this competitor, none of them could hold a vacuum overnight. So far they have been opposites. Of the 7 bags we used, each has a perfect vacuum [I hope I don't flatten them]. I tried removing air from one of the bags with a small hand pump and it worked great. Travel will be great! The sizes of the bags in this series are also good. We ditched smaller holdalls but found other sizes were great for pillows, blankets and other bedding and saved space for seasonal clothing. The two colored sealing strips helped confirm that the bags were fully sealed before being emptied.
