More than 5 years have passed since I first started using the mouse, and I purchased it second-hand. At this time period, the casing was covered in scratches, however the buttons in the region where the fingers would normally be did not even show signs of significant wear. The rubber bands on the sides have some wear and tear, but they are not fully worn out, so they can still perform their purpose. The rubberized braid was able to be removed from the wheel; it appears that oil had been there at one point because the rubber began to degrade. Without it, not much has changed; turning the wheel is still as convenient as it was before. The weight distribution has been switched to the left side, which is quite comfortable for me because I hold the mouse with my ring and thumb fingers. The size is ideal for a hand that is somewhere in the middle. I've been tossing around the idea of getting a brand new one, but the prices are so discouraging. Over the past 5 years, there has been a considerable increase in the price.
