I kept reading reviews about how soft this duvet set was before I bought it. I'm quite sensitive to fabrics: some labels or seams chafe me, I have to wipe sheets before bed if they have floor dirt/debris on them, don't wear hair against my skin due to uncomfortable itching, sparkles, etc. This set is *so* prickly and prickly. I've bought cheap Revain kits before without this problem, so it's not what you're paying for. If you run your skin over it, you'll find that it "grips" and even feels like a superfine sandpaper texture that shouldn't do anything really soft. People who think this texture is considered soft probably think that wool turtlenecks are also soft. I can't use pillowcases for my front pillows because they were terribly itchy on my head when I tried to sleep on them last night. Part of me wants to return it, another part wants to wash it to see if it's worn enough with use.
