Review on 🌐 White 30ft Shielded Cat5e Ethernet Cable - Outdoor Waterproof, Direct Burial, Pure Copper by Jeremy Kakaruk

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Rigid but well constructed outdoor cable

So far this is a good outdoor cable. I used this to wire up an IP security camera and networked doorbell system in a house that didn't have attic access. It was buried about 1.5 feet along the foundation in the flower bed. The cable is well made. It has an outer jacket, a ground wire, an inner foil shield, then a plastic sleeve around the 8 conductors along with the filaments. Plastic boots in the end are good. I pulled one back to check the ground wire and shielded Cat5 connector and they are soldered together properly. The Category 5 end isn't injection molded, which would make it very waterproof, but that was fine for my situation as the ends enter electrical boxes mounted in walls high off the ground. The wire is very hard. I found it difficult to bend and connect to my devices in the one-piece electrical boxes I use. I had to arrange everything in the box very carefully and only put a small amount of wire in the box to avoid twisting the wire and risking breaking the conductors. This wire was used to reduce the need for wiring. and make your work easier. It was very easy to install.
