Looks like it will be ok for some purposes Lined pocket , but I'm afraid you'll need a second bag or plan on washing it regularly if you put items in it that you've washed for recycling.I'm not sure how strong the fabric and stitching will be if needed.Besides the plastic isn't very good - over time it will likely fail.A small section with an edge already shows it will break soon,although not the section that matters much.But actually for me it was a deal breaker that the dimensions given by the manufacturer in the Q&A section and the subsequent assembly options. Width and depth appear to be accurate, but not necessarily height. It is 17" from the top edge of the lid frame to the bottom of the pouch (unless it will m extended with recyclables). BUT this height does not include the length of the metal brackets used. hang over the closet door. Add at least another inch if you want to hang it over your closet door like this. Unfortunately that wouldn't work for my closet as 17 inches would be the max for me. They provide a second mounting option if you want to screw/nail it to the cabinet. BUT the screw/nail holes are a small slot. Hole instead of regular size round hole. So I would have to find a thin short nail/nail that would work. Something thin like a pin but with a head wide enough to fit outside the slot. So you don't buy that at a hardware store. Also note if the height of your closet can accommodate the extra length needed to hang over the door - your door needs to be less than an inch I think. About a little over 3/4 inch will do. There is a sponge lining inside that squeezes to make it a snug fit. Less than 3/4 inch might be too loose. An inch or more is too thick.
