Easy to use

This is a desktop laser engraver for home use. This is a DIY kit that you assemble at home with the included parts and equipment. The fully built machine measures approximately 24 x 21 x 10 inches. Although the laser is rated at 20 watts, that is the input power. The output power is almost 5.5W, which is comparable to the Atomstack Pro A5 models (which have an input power of 40W). The maximum object size is 15.75 x 15.75 inches. The machine can engrave soft surfaces like wood and leather, as well as cut wood up to ΒΌ inch thick. It is compatible with GRBL laser software. I really like the design of this laser engraver. One of the big differences between this engraver and the Atomstack is that it has a focusable laser while the Atomstack laser has a fixed focus. A focusable laser gives you more precise control over the laser as well as more flexibility in the types of surfaces you are working with. On the other hand, you have to manually focus the laser. Luckily, this is easy to do with the included Z-axis knob. Another difference between this laser and the Atomstack models is that this one has shortcuts on the control panel for home and test beam. However, the laser head lacks built-in protection for Atomstack models. However, I've never trusted the built-in escaping. It is safer to always wear safety goggles and not look into the beam. I find this engraver to be very accurate for both engraving and cutting compared to other engravers in its price range. The engraving and cutting speed is also fast. Overall, this is a good choice for a laser engraver.
