If you're going to sell this beer, it's best to have a hard cap. I dry hop into a barrel and use it around the dip tube. This has been found to offer better hop character than adding pellets to the pipe. Holes in the lid thus cause problems with dry hopping. You can put cellophane under the lid to solve the problem, but that's not ideal. I knew all of this before I bought it, so my low score is based on two other factors: the lid either pops off immediately or it gets stuck completely, which isn't ideal. You have to make a real effort to get rid of it when the stuck witch is straining the grid. On the second use, the strainer on the strainer came loose, clogging my dip tube and ruining my beer batch.
