My daughter is 6 years old. Height 43 inches. I bought a soze for 6-7 years, the length is as expected. It's too long for her now, but that's ok! The waist is just right, very comfortable. The best thing is the thickness. These leggings are surprisingly, impressively thick. Imagine your frozen feet wrapped in thick microfiber/microfleece blankets around your feet. The lining is velvety soft and smooth. The upper is also thick. Perfect for a cold early morning. Especially when children are forced to run in the morning or have to be outside during the break. Keeps you warm while you're waiting for the school bus in the cold :) If you've ever bought Gymboree fleece leggings - I'll tell you they're a lot thicker, warmer and a lot easier to wash! My daughter was so excited that I immediately bought a second set in all colors!
