Review on Calypte Cache 1.0 (Amazon Linux) by Andrew Kay

This product is just so very useful for caching website pages that have large images or are slow from their server. It makes those connections faster, and therefore less noticeable to our customers who need to wait a bit more for things than they would prefer in today's fast-paced world! I haven't found any downsides as of yet. The program works as advertised, which means it caches websites without problems - so far at least. The software is easy to use, has good documentation. I like how you can easily add more nodes to your cluster if needed. It does not automatically detect when an instance becomes idle but it's very fast at detecting an outage or restart. You have to manually update DNS records for this to work so that might be frustrating as well. Highly recommended! We are using this product primarily to speed up our cloud application response time by caching static content locally.
