Keep your wires long as they are rarely (as usual) inserted flat and properly oriented in an up-down configuration. It's a lot easier to hand screw them in one at a time, which means a bit more wire will be burned, but I bought 1000 feet so that doesn't bother me too much. Kind of a PITA, but they work fine when installed properly. If you're running a lot of cables, you might want to look for a simpler configuration, as getting it set up correctly takes time and patience is a virtue. I have extra heavy gauge Cat6A 23 AWG outdoor solid copper wire and I need to "pinch" the jacket about 2-3cm from the exposed pairs to allow it to slide inside. However, when crimped it is strong and makes a good quality cable. . Don't forget to order boots!
