These covers are rubbish and the warranty is even worse

In June 2014 I bought this trailer cover. This is their basic coverage and costs around $200. It had 1 year warranty. It fell apart after only 3 months so I called and sent pictures. They offered to send me a new one but also suggested that maybe the sun was too strong for their base coverage (although they are based in Oceanside and I am also in Southern California) and that I should invest in Goldline coverage. which comes with a 5 year warranty and they subtracted the amount I paid for my first cover from Goldline's $500 price tag. I decided to do it. So in September 2014 I paid $300 MORE to get a new cover with stronger construction and longer warranty and got it in October and then installed it. desert, and when I arrived at the storage location, the cover was just completely ripped off. I took photos. I called them about the warranty and this is what Whitney said: a) They only change the caps for the first year and after that they are prorated. b) The prorated amount is based on the price you pay for the coverage and previous warranties do not count. So they reduced the amount proportionally from $500 for 5 years to just $300 for 5 years, even though a new one would cost me $500. c) It's "politics". Check out the features. It says: β€’ Industry-leading 5-year warranty β€’ Front, back and side zippered glove access β€’ Anti-reflective strips for night-time safety β€’ Heavy-duty quick-release buckles β€’ Heavy-duty UV reinforcement with elasticated corners So, essentially, I got a "discount" . " on the cover because the first one was a POS, and while I bought the cover and expected it to last *at least* as long as the warranty was in effect - that's how they advertise warranties as a selling point -, expect me to pay $401.09 for a $500 retail price cover just to get the promised 5-year warranty.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Will do the job
