I've been struggling to write this review for a couple of weeks. I've been using this bag for over a month, but whenever I go to Revain to write my review I glance at the price tag and find myself hesitating. It just dawned on me today that the problem is that I'm struggling with my preconceived notions of perceived value. Look, here's the thing. Hair under $400 for a messenger bag is a lot of money in my opinion. It's easy to "check with your wife before you spend" money, so I'll stop when I decide to sit down and give this glowing review because I can't fully convince myself that it's a worthwhile purchase. However, I own several wristwatches that sell for over $1,000 and I can't say I've ever tried to convince myself that they are worth the money. Realizing that this wasn't logical, I felt a load lift from my shoulders. I've only found myself obsessing over it because I don't appreciate leather goods that much to dig that deep into my wallet so I can just search the bag for the people who do. OK then. This is really a very good bag. I own three full grain leather bags including an elegant shoulder bag from Fossil and a really huge and beautiful brown weekender bag from Leathfocus and I would say the Wild World bag is by far the best of the three. Skin has substance. It's thick and heavy, as thick as the leather trim on my Duluth Pack canvas canoe pack, designed to withstand the brunt of decades of wilderness testing. This leather can be run over by a truck and remain undamaged but with more character. I'm no leatherworking expert, but the stitching here appears to be hand made. It is very accurate and can easily be machine stitched, but there are occasional inconsistencies that suggest it was probably hand made by someone of great skill. However, don't take my word for it. I really can't say for sure. I don't see any markings on the zippers, so I'm guessing they're not YKK, but they're strong and smooth to open and close, while the front pocket latches are magnetic and snap effortlessly. efforts. In the main compartment you'll find plenty of room for a laptop and tablet (and I'd say enough room to live without a bag at the weekend if you don't mind traveling light), as well as pockets and loops for storing notepads and pens . The compartments are well separated and thanks to the durability of the leather you don't have to worry about your belongings being knocked over in transit. This thing is built like a tank. I'm not usually a fan of flashy branding on my bags and that's doubly important for unknown brands that I don't want to show off, but I don't mind visible branding here. . The Wild World logo on the front is subtle enough not to look superfluous. While I probably wouldn't buy this bag - or any leather messenger bag - with my own money (I've spent it all on fancy watches), if you're thinking of a leather bag that can last a lifetime as a solid investment, then this is a good buy . He's very well built and attractive, smells amazing and I think he's aging fantastically. I will gladly recommend it.
