My daughter plays tennis and these shoes are great for longer stays on the court. This is actually the fourth pair of these shoes that we have bought in the last year and a half as her feet are constantly growing and wearing down as she spends around 15 hours a week on the court. The shoes are equipped with a small mechanism that is used instead of traditional laces for tightening. The mechanism worked well on the three pairs we had previously purchased, on this pair the mechanism did not work, making the shoes too narrow for her to fit her feet. We discovered this when we were leaving for a tournament and didn't have time to return them, so we cut the mechanism off both shoes and bought the laces from Target for $7. Such great shoes but you don't have to spend extra money on shoelaces when you buy a new pair of shoes.
