This filter literally changed my life. If you're annoyed with dirty tap water in Los Angeles or any other place with hard tap water, this filter will do wonders for not only filtering out chlorine, but also filtering out hard tap water. I recently moved to Los Angeles from New York. and while it may seem like an exaggeration, the hard tap water in Los Angeles has left my hair dull and crusty and my scalp dry and itchy. It was a completely alien experience for someone used to soft, shiny hair after a tap water shower in New York City. The tap water in my apartment in Los Angeles is very hard by nature, which means it contains dissolved minerals that make it alkaline (with a low PH level). After researching online, I found that for some reason, low pH water makes soaps and shampoos difficult to clean and rinse out effectively, so my dry hair and itchy scalp were caused by shampoo residue that never rinsed off became. I am so thankful for this filter. I feel human again! The second time I showered with the filter installed, my hair looked like New York rooster hair again.
