I have several scissors in different places in my house. small collection as I don't have small pairs. This pair retails for $6.99 at the time of review, which is slightly more than the other colors, likely due to the multi-colored matte finish. In my experience, given the same finish, it is very durable and will not wear out. I say even though the other item I have with this finish is a knife with a polished finish so it can be worn a variety of ways. I hope it won't. These scissors are comfortable even for my long (but thin) fingers. They are decently sharp - they cut through the cardboard and plastic covering very well which came with scissors. I've since cut through gauze, twine, and grocery bags, and it's worked pretty well. They're a good size to fit in my small drawer and stand out so I don't get lost. They're beautiful and useful - the good thing about scissors!
