Review on 🚦 Dorman 1630064 Front Driver Side Turn Signal/Parking Light Assembly: Chevrolet Models Compatibility and Durability by Chris Dildine

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Currently perfect for mounting lighting fixtures and accessories

1999 Silverado lighting assembly [both sides] contained water and the working bulbs were burned out. Old [OEM] and new builds have a small [approx. 1/16 inch] Rear vent covered with plastic/cloth [to keep water out]. I drilled a 3/8" hole where the vent is. I had a rubber elbow tube with a hole about 1/16" in. Put a 1/4" elbow through the drilled hole and into the assembly. Point the knee down and apply epoxy to seal the rubber assembly. A 1/16" hole/vent through the rubber elbow allows moisture to easily escape from the knot. The heat of a working lightbulb contributes to the evaporation of moisture in the node. Apply silicone to the rubber washers [3 on each node] so time will tell where water can get in. Whether water [not moisture] will accumulate in the assembly only time will tell. Dorman block without defects. Clean and scratched surface. The blocks are easy to install.
