I had another version of this model and on the other hand you didn't even notice if the light was on. But since I don't have enough natural light and the light in my bathroom isn't enough when I'm trying to see things like blackheads. I wanted to try it and it turned out to be a pretty good mirror (almost like in luxury hotels). It's very bright and runs on 4 AAA batteries, so no weird wires lying around. The only downside I've found is that it doesn't look like real glass. But the image quality in the mirror is still excellent. I don't know how long the battery lasts, but I even like to use it as a night light for my bathroom.
