Even though I've only had it for a little more than a week, I already knew I wanted a Canon 550d. However, I had no regrets about my decision to purchase the Nikon 3100, especially since I had saved almost $10,000. This is significant because with the money saved, you could purchase everything an SLR requires. Therefore, I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants to take excellent amateur photos. Also, since video is now always necessary, any photographer may flourish as a short film director.
