Review on BenQ W1070 W1080ST HT1075 HT1085st Lamp Assembly with Genuine OEM Bulb - 5J.J7L05.001 5J.J9H05.001 by Ronald Duguay

: September 2021 the last lamp was over 5500 hours and our projector warned against ordering a new lamp and replacing it so I went back and ordered one. I arranged for the return because the bulb came in a manila envelope right in the box, was opened and crushed. I hope the replacement is better packaged. The last bulb is still working and I don't plan on installing this new bulb until I need it and so there is a risk that it may not work and I won't get in the return window. I certainly hope the replacement arrives undamaged, but if it is repackaged in the am9 paper mailbag, chances are the surrounding cardboard will be re-opened and crushed. for the price it's ok, i was hoping for more hours from it, but at least it burned calmly and the glass didn't explode, but there was a smell that lasted until this morning, i hope it goes away very soon. Just received this for our Benq w1070 projector. This purchase was a difficult decision as they have so many different price ranges but I chose this seller because they had a positive review even though there are no reviews for this lamp and body. About 4 hours with the new lamp, so far so good. The seller stated that this is the original lamp that came with the projector which we used for 4580 hours before it blew up so it was important to me that we received the same quality. Other aftermarket aftermarket bulb and case reviews have been mixed, some people only had a few hours before they blew up and one thing I really want to avoid is breaking another bulb as it's a scary sound, especially when it does is dark and fading. completely dark without a projector lamp. It sounded like an electrical pop to me and when the lights went out it took me a moment to realize the bulb in the projector had exploded to calm my anxiety. The case fit perfectly and was seated straight and the screw holes lined up perfectly which gave me a lot more confidence in this decision. I believe there is a 4 month guarantee on this lamp and body and if we use it regularly during that time there must be some issues and if there is an issue I will come back and revisit this review.
