I have a 5 year old son who wanted to take up tap dancing and I was struggling to find tap shoes that didn't look like the traditional shiny black lace up girls' ribbon shoes. Very nice to find these mats with thin laces. The only downside was that the laces wore out a bit towards the end of a year of use. Will buy them again when I've outgrown them.
