My review is divided into 4 categories; 1) seller - delivery of the goods 2) design of the goods 3) quality of workmanship. 4) Production support. "Seller" is rated 5 stars. The package was sent quickly and received within two days and this is not the best product. I thank the seller for the fast delivery. "Bag Design" gets 4 stars. The bag is well designed and has some nice features apart from being waterproof. I don't know of any other tail bag that is in the same price range as the rig bag with the same features. *** Sizing Note *** I bought the 40 liter bag. I really like it, but I haven't seen anyone mention it in the video reviews I watched before buying or in the reviews I read. Although a liter of space is a liter of space, the useful volume of that space really depends on how it's organized. The rig bag is folded in a way that allows you to use space efficiently. I think a 20 liter would be fine for everyday luggage transport and for long weekends of 3-5 days a 40 liter would do the job just fine. "How waterproof is the bag?" Well it's been in the rain for 3 days now and when I checked yesterday it was still dry inside. "Are there things I wish there were more in the bag?" Yes, of course, but at this price point I might not notice them - I think it's very good value for money, and you would be hard pressed to find something like that for a dollar. Meaning. "Quality Control" is rated with 3 stars. Before I explain the rating, I would like to say that these days country of origin has nothing to do with the quality of the product - far too often US consumers automatically assume that a product is not made in the USA. below average, and that's simply not the case in today's global markets. The quality of the product is a direct result of 'Build at Cost' - food for thought; Apple phones are made in China, but people have no problem paying $1,000 for them, but the same people dismiss a Chinese-made motorcycle bag as inferior. The point is, you can create a quality product anywhere, you just have to make sure it fits your cost model. Good thing about quality control - overall it's good, some stitching is a little bad in some places. QC's biggest flaw is one of the shoulder straps and the beaver tail buckle is not properly attached to the backpack. Simple quality checks should have revealed something like this, but remember again that build-to-cost and QC require man-hours - man-hours means more cost - more cost means a higher end price to the consumer. Overall, for me, this is an easy, correctable production error, and we all make mistakes in our work – how we deal with those mistakes in the future determines our quality. Nelson Rigg and I were contacted a day later: they offered to replace the bag with no problem, the only problem is that they have run out and won't be available until August. I've been told I can use the bag I have and if a new one comes along. An IPO is possible. I found this to be a great answer from Nelson Rigg and more than acceptable. I currently have a 4 star rating as I have not yet exchanged. I'll wait and see if I have to buy the box and pay for shipping or if Nelson Rigg will send a new replacement box ahead of time. I have to cover the shipping costs and the box to return the defective bag. I have to lower the rating - if they send a replacement in advance I will raise the rating. Just don't think that I have to pay for a production error. ***** Conclusion ***** Best seller - Fast shipping * Good design * Small MFG OC Miss * MFG Responsive * Great value for money * Even with QC issue I would buy again
