I filled both bags with the same contents: 6 ounce can of olives, 16 ounce can of salsa, 2 pound box of spaghetti, 2 packs of 8 ounce cream cheese block, 12-ounce bag of coffee beans, a 6-ounce standard water bottle, a 7-ounce can of instant coffee, a 5-ounce bag of pork rinds (basically a regular bag of potato chips, not family or lunch size). An ordinary plastic bag from the supermarket cannot hold more. In fact, I thought it was about to break. These mesh pockets could hold double. He seemed pretty solid and strong. I wouldn't fill it completely with just jars, mainly because I think it wears out quicker on the seams (attached to the handles, not the mesh). I haven't tried washing it, but if it's 100% cotton I wouldn't put it in the dryer. Cute little bag that stretches surprisingly well. Much better than the nylon or polyester bags that were trending a few years ago. I gave them up as they didn't last very much. I just wish it was a little bigger to double the size of standard plastic grocery bags. but alas, if wishes were horses. Works great as a purse/bag for events that also require a see through bag!
