This razor gives a good cut where it cuts, but I'll get to that in a moment. It's been years since I've used an electric razor. . . ok, probably 15 of them. . . and if it's a cheap travel option, I might look at it again. I usually use a safety razor, I seem to have less irritation than a regular razor; but I had a long international flight ahead of me and didn't want to carry razor blades and shaving cream through airport security (hand luggage only). Let's start with the haircut: I would rate it as perfect, in the morning shaving I couldn't tell this haircut apart from my normal shave, but in the evening it was noticeably rougher but still acceptable. Take the elastic: Now for my biggest issue, the protective plastic pad that comes with the fluff doesn't stay in place; This combined with thin foil is a recipe for damage. In fact, about halfway through my trip, the protective cover came off while packing for a day on the road, and the edge of the foil was bent.
