At first they were "easy to assemble" as described. I put 3 on the drywall and 3 on the wood ceiling. In the days that followed, one after the other, they began falling to the ground from both sides. The sticky part of the adhesive pad actually separates from the pad itself leaving a sticky film on the surface as shown. Screws are an alternative but these are very short and I had to scrape off the old pickguard before I could use them on the wood. For drywall, they are useless and had to buy drywall anchors. And make sure the screws are small and flat. The rounded head of the screw doesn't allow for the lantern cover to be attached, as I found out the hard way. So much for easy installation.
