That works BUT if you place the open end of the SATA connector on the other side of the board the device would fit in an external card reader. I had to disassemble the card reader to install a card reader adapter so I could connect it to my laptop. Again, it works fine, but YOU MUST buy the one with the open SATA connector on the edge facing the OUTER EDGE of the PCB.
