We have had this shaker for about 3 months now. It's great for everyday use at home and the price is fantastic. We use a standard liter jar. The seal is great and works well with the Hawthorne filter we bought at the same time. We haven't washed it in the dishwasher yet, but I'm sure it will handle that. We wash it by hand or just rinse it off (depending on how sweet/egg-shaped the drink was) and dry it upside down on a rubber bar mat. My only issue was that the steel had some pitting on the inside. Cosmetics and probably something that doesn't harm anyone, but I noticed.
