Tired of the same black or navy check book covers and wanted something more visible and accessible. I have 3 checking accounts and I'm tired of getting the wrong dark book all the time. This case is well made and looks and feels good too. The red one I ordered is beautiful and at that price I could have ordered two more in lighter colors.
