I was happy with my old Kinetic Seiko which finally died after 17 years. This watch was well priced and looked exactly how I wanted it. The date function did not work. I took it to a local watch shop to see if it could be repaired at a reasonable cost or if I had to return it. I have found that no Seiko watch can be repaired without a blue serial number card. Watch shops cannot get spare parts. My watch didn't come with a blue card, which means one of two things. 1) it is fake 2) it is real and after sale. In any case, neither Seiko nor anyone else can fix it. I went back at full price and bought a solar powered Seiko from a regular blue card dealer. Be careful when buying Seiko watches. Buy from a reputable dealer and make sure you get a blue card. There are some items that are safe to purchase from Revain. Seiko watches are not.
