I have ridiculously small ears. I absolutely CANNOT use earplugs that fit the ear canal because they never fit. Is always. I should always use the one in my pocket just behind the ear canal. This small earphone fits perfectly in this bag. I used it this way for a month and the sound quality was pretty good. I use it at work for listening to music and for skype meetings. The other day I rediscovered the silicone tips that come with this device, which are designed to fit inside the ear canal. I haven't bothered to try them because none of them have ever fit comfortably. For the sake of interest, I decided to try on the smallest. MY GOD. It's wearable! I was so surprised. It was short, very soft and my ear didn't feel like I put too much marshmallow in it. And the biggest surprise? Bass. I mean it was serious ALS! I've tried all types of headphones (although not expensive ones) and the best ones still only report bass. THIS little guy, when fitted correctly, filled my entire ear with amazingly rich bass! I was shocked. Maybe that's what most people with normal ears experience with all their earplugs, but since I've never been able to put them in my ears I had no idea. I like techno and dance music and I like to hear it pounding in my ear like I'm sitting in a car. Wow. Wonderful. Important NOTE. While bass-heavy songs sound fantastic on these headphones, other styles of music like rock or classical can sound a bit muffled. I find it helps to pull it out for a looser fit, or just remove the silicone tip entirely. The battery life is pretty good. I don't use it consistently throughout the day so I can't comment on how long it lasts without a break. But I tend to keep it on standby all day and listen to music every now and then. I've never run out of juice. I always fully charge it before starting. Loading times are a bit slow as it is via USB. The range is excellent. I hooked it up to my work laptop and it works through walls when I go to the break room to refill the water or visit another co-worker in his office down the hall. My guess is that those experiencing an outage may be experiencing interference from other Bluetooth devices. Just a guess. If you have small ears like mine then these headphones are to die for! Not that I ever dreamed of headphones. But you know what I mean. :) UPDATE: I've been using this thing for over a year now. I still charge it in the morning before use and the charge lasts all day with the same amount of use as above. Connection strength is good for the most part, but someone in the office must have gotten a new Bluetooth device as I experience occasional dropouts and dropped reception. I also ran into a couple of issues that caused me to downgrade my rating by one star. One day I dropped it on the floor and it stopped working. The floor was covered with this flat office carpet and no more than 4 feet high. It just didn't work anymore. I bought another one because there really aren't any other devices like this one. I've managed to drop this one a few times and it still works. However, the charging port seems to be free or something. Sometimes when I plug in the charger I have to fiddle with it to get the red light to come on and start charging. Sometimes it stops charging for no reason because it no longer makes contact (no blue light to indicate charging is complete) and I have to fiddle with it again. For this reason (unstable build quality) I'm deducting one star from the rating. But overall I still love it.
