blow one I had with a small valve. I usually let my husband blow it up, but of course that couldn't happen when I was out without him. Also, at a small value, you had to compress during the explosion, which was slow and awkward, and then deflate, which again was very slow. It was this design that was the shortcoming of my previous one as it caused tension at that point and eventually the value was halved. Looking for a replacement for my inflatable neck pillow I wanted one that I could easily make myself, so because of my asthma I decided to try one of the ones that inflate with a big button attached to the pillow. This guy certainly didn't affect my asthma, but surprisingly it lasted a long time; many pumps. One thing I never liked about neck pillows was that they felt too big in the back, forcing me to move forward. I really like how the inflatable pillows give you more flexibility to make them a little softer/mouldable than the pre-inflated ones, but still the neck in the back always felt big. I usually sat in the inside seat and just leaned against the window. So I decided to try this one - it had a smaller neck diameter and I was interested in trying the large EZ valve. I actually tried this and another similar product but the ties were different on both. First of all, the large EZ design was amazing! No need to bother anyone to blow it up for me. Even with my asthma, I have no problem with inflation. Emptying is done in just 2 seconds! Second, the material: SO soft. It's softer than the other two I've tried, both the similar valve design/small neck and pump design. I bought this for sleeping; Super softness is highly appreciated! Third - the neck: YES - it makes a HUGE positive difference to have less circumference in the neck! Fourth is the closure at the end: This one has a Velcro closure, the drawstrings had a similar flap design/small neck compared to the drawstring closure. I have to say that for me the drawstring was better; I prefer stronger. With the velcro on this one, I feel like the velcro is too short; If there were more Velcro on the ties, the ties could be tightened more tightly. Velcro keeps it closed (required) but it's really not adjustable. I deduct 1 star for that (although I could have deducted only 1/2 star). I need to attach a safety pin to it so I can get the clasp I need. Fifth, Accessories: This one had it all; others only had a pocket to put it in. I used to pack earplugs and an eye mask when I once passed out on an international flight for free. No longer necessary and they are much better. The eye mask is very opaque, it's larger (in a good way) and the concave design means it doesn't press on the eyes at all. headdress - it was necessary to laugh; the company clearly "received" me. The last ride I was on (an annoying red eyed train that doesn't turn off the lights and stops and starts all night when they announce stops) I felt the need to have a hat and so did I. I carried a large knitted infinity scarf that I wrapped around my head to feel "cozy" - now I have this hood to do the same. I'm not sure I'll be using it all the time, but I like having it in my pocket whenever I want.
