My son is 11 and has a narrow foot for his age, but he has a high instep and slightly wider foot than normal shoes would allow. He loves his Altras. We bought him a pair of Kokiri 4 months ago and now we bought him a pair of Lone Peaks. While they're both very comfortable, he finds his Lone Peak pair better. The soles are much more grippy, giving you a better grip on the soccer field or anywhere else. He removed the upper insole and found that the shoe was much more comfortable without it. The foot shape of the shoe is so loose. He doesn't want to wear anything else. I will say that Kokiri has aged really fast. so much so that the other kids teased him about his "old shoes". I hope Lone Peak wears better in the next 6 months or so.
