Faulty blade - sews poorly
Very nice awl, requires no special sharpening. Outside of the packaging, however, the blade of my awl is tilted. This awl can be used on a project where the back is not important, but is almost useless on a project where both sides are visible. It is very difficult to pierce straight through when the blade is at an angle to the handle.
