5 years and still running

Bought this watch in 2014. It was a bit fiddly to set up at first, but I got the hang of it. Then set and forget. This watch has survived countless tests, surviving nearly 3 years of construction, touring multiple countries, being in pools, lakes, rivers, salt water, paint covered mud pits, drywall dust, sawdust, blood and guts and hitting door frames, counters and doorknobs more than i can count During this time I changed the battery once. I go through the online manual twice a year to learn about Daylight Saving Time and that's it. Gshock has released several new variants of this model since 2014, but I can't bring myself to replace something that works great 24/7. UPDATE 05/17/19: 5 years old and working as perfect as ever. Just changed the batteries for the second time. This clock was still in a few places and survived another year of construction. Waterproof, explosion-proof, and maybe even stupid for not killing it yet. UPDATE: 6/12/20: 6 years on the same batteries as last year. The first and only issue I've ever had with this watch over the past 6 months or so has been: The backlight button has stopped working for some reason, but that's not a big deal to me. Lumia/glow on the hour markers and on all three hands ensures time remains very clear even in the middle of the night when the watch has been out of ambient light for several hours. For me, a non-working light in no way reduces the functionality of the watch. I still can't bring myself to buy a new one. I definitely got my money's worth with GShock.
